“Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.” (Jeremiah 32:17 ESV)
God is always good. And forever faithful. Today’s verse makes my soul sing, “How great Thou art!” The Holy Spirit’s timing in selecting this verse for such a turbulent season…impeccably providential.
The same God who created the universe and sustains it to the end is the sovereign Lord over every breath of wind, drop of rain, crashing wave, quaking ground, and fearful soul.
“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens…. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” (Psalm 8:1, 3-4 ESV)
Do not be afraid. Trust in God. Obey His Word. Cast every care on Him. He will give you rest and divine peace that surpasses your best imagination.
