Johnny & June

This has been such a wonderful journey for me. I have learned so much over the last several months. I was told a lot of effort goes into planning a style shoot.

My source wasn’t kidding.

I must say the time invested in this project was TOTALLY worth it, as you shall soon see!

The story of Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash is epitomized in the stellar 2005 film, Walk the Line, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon.

My FABULOUS models, Mack and Chelsea McGowan (of McGowan Images), have a love story themselves that has distinct similarities to that of J&J. True love finds itself perfected through pain and sorrow. The high spots in a relationship are incredible. But love is really put to the test when a man wearing black has to walk through the rough patches of life with merely his guitar on his back and his woman by his side.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Give a warm, Southern welcome to…

Johnny & June!!!

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I’ll admit that I’m a fool for you
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I’ve known proves that it’s right
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

You’ve got a way to keep me on your side
You give me cause for love that I can’t hide
For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

McG & Me Review
JMHPhoto 8-11

Planning a style shoot = one ginormous task.

Planning a style shoot for models who happen to be majorly popular wedding photographers = slightly intimidating.

Planning a style shoot that totally rocks my socks off and boosts my blog readership = priceless!

If it hadn’t been for my already established friendship with McG and the super amazing talent of MegB, I would not be writing a review. Instead, I’d be writing a eulogy for my camera. The entire experience was invaluable. I can’t even express how grateful I am for McG. No pressure environment. Crazy fun ambiance. Awesome tips & tricks.

Driving down to visit McG on their home turf was well worth my time. From the moment I arrived, Mack & Chelsea made me feel like I was part of the family. We settled into the office and got busy.

Rating. Editing. Reviewing. Blogging. Client Interaction. Legal Issues. Taxes & Accounting. Business Strategy. Goals.

Then came lunch & a good conversation on branding. (If you ever hit up the Mill, you have to try the Morgan Mill Burger with Tots!) Let me just say, solid branding is essential for any business. I have been majorly stuck on how to brand myself. After talking with several industry leaders, (add McG to that list), I am very close to landing on my target image! I’m SO excited!!!

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for JMHPhoto!!!

THANK YOU, Mack & Chelsea!!!
