I was reminded, after posting about God’s promise of my secure inheritance, of a verse in the New Testament.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6

More proof! I love knowing my God will not fail me, even if I fail Him. He alone began the work of salvation in me and He alone can complete it.

When I became a follower of Christ, He saved me from the penalty of sin. Currently, I am being saved from the power of sin. In the future, when God completes His sanctifying work in me, I will be freed from the presence of sin!

Oh, do I look forward to the day when I can worship God with a pure, sinless heart!
